How to deactivate your Zip Card

 The Zip Card is the official identification card for The University of Akron students, faculty and staff.  

The Zip Card provides access to buildings and labs, testing centers, entrance to sporting events, library privileges, meal plans and other University activities. The first Zip Card is free to students, faculty and staff.

Every Zip Card identification comes with an All-Campus account. The All-Campus account provides campus ID cardholders the power to make purchases at on-campus merchants and participating off-campus Zip Card merchants without the need to carry cash or credit cards.

On-campus Dining Services locations also accept the All-Campus account and unlike a credit card, there are no deposit fees, no interest charged and no monthly bill – just a record of the debits made from your already deposited funds.

The advantage to using the All-Campus account to manage your money is that your balances carry over during your entire academic program. Upon graduation, you can request any unused balance minus any administration fee for maintaining the account.

You have the ability to monitor your balances for your All-Campus account, meal plan, and Dining Dollars and access to your transaction history in real time.
