Biography
Dr. Anindya Bijoy Das is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. Prior to joining the University of Akron, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Purdue University. His research interests include federated learning, AI/ML and its applications, coded/distributed computation, information theory, biomedical signal processing, etc. He has published several peer-reviewed journals in IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications Letter, etc. He has also served as a reviewer in different venues including TON, TMC, TPDS, TPAMI, TWC, ISIT, ICASSP, etc. He received the prestigious "Karas Award" from Iowa State University for an outstanding dissertation in Mathematical and Physical Science and Engineering in 2022.
