Biography

Maeve Marino is an archaeologist with a focus on North American archaeology, community archaeology, and Cultural Resource Management. Her research interests include archaeological geophysics and historical archaeology. Marino works closely with community partners to facilitate archaeological research at both precontact and historical sites. She is always looking for new community partnerships and opportunities for students to gain field and lab experience.


Research

Community Archaeology Summer Program (CASP)

A joint research program between UA and Summit Metro Parks to do archaeological research in the Metro Parks. Students learn and contribute to SMP’s cultural resource management mission. Current projects include the Everett Knoll Project and Wheelock-Cuyahoga Acres Project.

Spring Hill Public Archaeology

Student-centered research on the land use changes at the Spring Hill farm in Massillon, Ohio from 1811 to present.
